The Environmental Photography Invitational is an event for the advancement of photography as a unique medium capable of bringing awareness and preservation to our environment through art.
Each image must belong in one of the following categories (images will be reassigned to a different category if deemed appropriate):

Depicting the beauty and diversity found throughout both the protected and unprotected natural landscapes of the world.

Depicting the diversity of animal species, their behavior and habitat, including endangered species.

Depicting the beauty and diversity of plants throughout the world, including endangered species and ecosystems.

Depicting the beauty and diversity of marine or freshwater animals or plants.

Depicting the value of indigenous and tribal people in their natural environment.

Depicting the diversity of man's existence and interaction within the natural environment.

Depicting the diversity of environmental issues and humanity's positive and negative impacts throughout the world.

Depicting the environmental issues and humanity's impact on Puget Sound.

Images from participants either enrolled full-time in school or under the age of 21 as of February 1st, 2007 that pertain to any of the above categories.
