How to Enter

Images produced in all film formats and types, including digital media, are eligible. All entries will be received online via EPI's website, www.epinvitational.com, in digital format. Images submitted will be uploaded along with an entry form to be completed online. No entries will be accepted by mail.

[The Submission Period has ended as of 9am PST April 2, 2007.]

Files will be no larger than 2.5 MB in JPEG format at maximum quality, with the longest dimension no larger than 1024 pixels, at a resolution of 72 dpi, in RGB mode. Files will be named lastname_firstname_title.jpg with no spaces in filename. No border, embedded marks or logos.

The entrance fee will be $35 for up to 3 entries and $15 for each individual entry thereafter with up to ten total entries allowed. Fees for entrants in the Student category will be $25 for up to 3 entries and $10 for each individual entry thereafter with up to ten total entries allowed.

Accurate caption information must be available should image be chosen for EPI's exhibit. This would include information regarding plant or animal species, where appropriate, and the location, including state/province and country. Wildlife images should include whether animal is wild or captive.

Photographers whose images are selected for the exhibit agree to allow EPI to post said images on EPI's website, to publish a selection of said images in a special feature in the summer 2007 issue of PhotoMedia magazine, and to use said images for promotion of EPI. Photographers will receive appropriate credit in all cases.

EPI will discard all images not selected as winners after final jury decision is made.

Submission of Selected Images

Upon notification, selected photographers will be responsible for submitting a high quality print to match our exact measurement specifications. EPI will provide high quality frames and mats. Photographers will be responsible for return postage for their prints.
